chocolate covered doods and guh-guh-girls!
lately life has been more awesome-er-er than usual. why you ask? leh’me es’plain!
my #1 fashion designer homegirl, autie carlisle [ www.autieautie.com ], and i are collaborating on a fashion project! autie came to me asking if i would be interested in supplying her with some ill-o-strations for a textile design. the answer: duh! miss carlisle is a swanky friend o’mine, with an intricate and open-minded eye for design – the kind of creative designer i admire, respect, and am stoked on. i’m really ancy and interested to see what she designs! i’m positive that whatever it is she creates will kick some booty! check back every once and a while and be sure to view the progress of miss autie autie herself!
below is an image she sent me of the basic layout-collage she designed for the printed fabric:

in other news…
i’m participating in a group show at the sonoma valley museum of art! i was invited, amongst a select few of other “emerging” artists, to be showcased on their pristine white museum walls. i received a very late notice from the heads over at the museum, so i ended up rocking out and drawing this design [ pictured below ] in one night. the next night, i hand screen-printed the piece on 100% recycled paper. the piece, entitled “the red party”, is basically a cluster of hands and two red boots. nancy sinatra would be proud…!

mister lister struck my star…
the other night i was waiting for one of my brothers to pick me up and i decided to slaughter some time and waste a portion of my life by logging onto facebook. i ended up looking on my “friends list”, where it shows who is currently online and able to chat. i randomly noticed that mister anthony listerĀ [ www.anthonylister.com ] was online and my yearning for conversation arose. – for those of you who don’t know anthony lister, i highly recommend checking out his work. in my book, hes a sort of modern day art god. – i went out on a digital limb and sent him a conventional message, telling him that i loved his work and blah, blah, blah. to make a long story short, i ended up sharing with him my blog and…well…he seemed to like it! we talked for around 10 minutes [ then i had to leave ]. he gave me some good advice and in the future, i’d like to thank the dood for it!
